The God of All Authority

There is no power greater than His. None.

Twice in my life, I came face to face with pure evil - moments so dark and real that fear could have swallowed me whole. You know those seconds where time slows down, your heart pounds, and you can feel the weight of something demonic in the air? That’s where I was. Both times, I knew in my spirit that I was standing head-on with evil itself - and that, without divine intervention, I could have been hurt very badly or even killed.

But both times, something supernatural happened. It was like heaven opened, and the atmosphere shifted. Those men - full of darkness and intent - looked behind me as if they saw something. Their eyes changed. Their faces dropped. And they just… left.

No words.

No attack.

No explanation.

One moment I was surrounded by darkness - the next, I was covered in light. It was as if an angel of the Lord stood right behind me, and fear had to bow.

That’s not luck. That’s authority.

That’s not coincidence. That’s God.

Jesus said, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to Me.” (Matthew 28:18) And when you belong to Him, His authority covers you. It commands the atmosphere. It silences the enemy. It surrounds you even when you don’t realize it.

The Word says, “The angel of the Lord encamps around those who fear Him, and He delivers them.” (Psalm 34:7) I’ve lived that verse. I’ve seen it in action. God’s presence shifts the room before you even open your mouth. His name alone carries a power that darkness cannot stand against.

Sis, if you’ve ever walked through something that should’ve destroyed you but didn’t - you know exactly what I’m talking about. You didn’t just survive. You were shielded. You were kept. You were covered.

God’s authority doesn’t just reign over heaven - it reigns right here, in our everyday moments. It reigns in the chaos, the pain, the fear, and the unknown. It reigns when you feel small and powerless, because His power is made perfect in weakness.

That’s our God - the God of all authority.

And He’s still protecting, still reigning, still fighting for His daughters today.

  • Have you ever experienced a moment where you knew God stepped in and protected you?

  • What situation in your life right now needs to come under His authority?

  • How can you remind yourself daily that His power surrounds you?

Scriptures to Stand On

Matthew 28:18 – “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to Me.”

Psalm 34:7 – “The angel of the Lord encamps around those who fear Him, and He delivers them.”

Luke 10:19 – “I have given you authority to trample on snakes and scorpions and to overcome all the power of the enemy.”

Philippians 2:9–11 – “At the name of Jesus every knee should bow… and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord.”

Job 42:2 – “I know that you can do all things; no purpose of yours can be thwarted.”

Lord, thank You for being my covering, my protector, and my authority. Thank You for standing between me and every plan of the enemy. I know that Your power is greater than anything that comes against me. Help me walk boldly in the authority You’ve given me through Jesus. Surround me with Your presence, command peace over every storm, and remind me daily that I am safe in Your hands. In Jesus’ name, amen. 💛
