Are You Ready for Eternity?

Have you ever stopped to ask yourself one of the most important questions you’ll ever face: Am I ready for eternity?

I know - that question can feel heavy. We don’t often like to think about death or what comes after. Life is busy and full of distractions. But here’s the truth: our next breath is not promised. We make plans for tomorrow, next week, even years from now - but eternity is not something we can schedule. It’s something we need to be prepared for right now.

If your life ended today, do you know where you would go? Not “hope so.” Not “I think so.” But know so. Deep down, with peace in your heart.

The Bible is clear: salvation is not found in being a good person, going to church, or trying harder. Salvation is found in one name only - Jesus Christ. He is the Son of God who gave His life on the cross for you and me, taking on the punishment for our sins so that we could have forgiveness and eternal life.

Jesus Himself said in John 14:6, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.”

That means eternity is not about religion, it’s about relationship. Not about checking boxes - but about knowing the One who gave everything to save you.

Maybe you’ve carried guilt, shame, or the weight of your past. Maybe you’ve wondered if God could ever love someone like you. Let me remind you: Jesus didn’t die for perfect people. He died for the broken, the lost, and the hurting. He died for me. He died for you.

Sis, I’m asking from my heart - for you to hear me and really consider my words. This isn’t about me. This is about your eternity. It’s too important to ignore. The question isn’t “Will I die?” but “Am I ready when I do?”

The good news is you don’t have to wait another moment. The Bible says, “Today is the day of salvation” (2 Corinthians 6:2). Right now, Jesus is reaching out to you with open arms. His grace is big enough. His love is wide enough. His mercy is deep enough.

You can know with certainty where you will spend eternity - by putting your trust in Him.

If you’re ready to take that step, pray something like this from your heart:

Lord Jesus, I know that I’m a sinner in need of Your forgiveness. I believe You died on the cross for my sins and rose again so that I could have eternal life. Today, I choose to place my faith in You. Come into my heart, be my Lord and Savior, and help me to live for You from this day forward. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

If you prayed that prayer, eternity has changed for you. Heaven is your home. You are forgiven. You are redeemed. You are His.

Don’t wait another moment. Eternity is closer than we think - but so is Jesus. Say yes to Him today.

- John 3:16 – “For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.”

- Romans 10:9 – “If you declare with your mouth, ‘Jesus is Lord,’ and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.”

- Romans 6:23 – “For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.”

- Ephesians 2:8-9 – “For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God—not by works, so that no one can boast.”

- 1 John 5:11-13 – “And this is the testimony: God has given us eternal life, and this life is in his Son. Whoever has the Son has life; whoever does not have the Son of God does not have life. I write these things to you who believe in the name of the Son of God so that you may know that you have eternal life.”
