Don't Forget What He Has Done

This morning, I spent some precious time with the Lord, and honestly, I'm still sitting here with tears in my eyes.

A song popped up in my memories: Healing Is In Your Hands by Christy Nockels.

The moment I heard it, I was transported back to a completely different season of my life.

A season of deep distress.

A season where I was hurting, struggling, praying, waiting, and desperately needing God to show up.

And He did.

Oh, how He did.

As I listened to that song today, memory after memory came flooding back. Not just of the pain, but of His presence.

I remembered the God who met me in the middle of my brokenness.

The God who held me when I felt like I couldn't take another step.

The God who loved me when I didn't feel lovable.

The God who carried me through things I wasn't sure I would survive.

And suddenly I found myself overwhelmed with gratitude.

How quickly we forget.

We forget the prayers He answered.

We forget the battles He brought us through.

We forget the miracles hidden inside ordinary days.

We forget the nights we cried ourselves to sleep and woke up to find His mercies were new once again.

Today, the Lord reminded me.

Rose, look where I have brought you from.

And wow.

What a journey it has been.

As I sat with Him, I opened my Bible to Hebrews 11 - the great chapter of faith. Story after story of ordinary people who trusted an extraordinary God.

People who didn't always understand what God was doing.

People who waited.

People who suffered.

People who believed.

And the same thought kept running through my heart:

God is amazing.

He is faithful.

He is true.

He is supreme.

He is above every circumstance, every diagnosis, every fear, every disappointment, and every unanswered question.

I found myself longing for that wonder again.

That childlike awe.

That faith that expects God to move.

That confidence that says, "My God can do anything."

Maybe that's why He brought that song back to me today.

Not to make me miss the past.

But to remind me who He has always been.

The same God who met me then is still with me now.

The same God who healed, carried, comforted, and sustained me is still faithful today.

Friend, if you're walking through a difficult season, don't forget what He has done.

Remember the prayers He answered.

Remember the doors He opened.

Remember the healing He brought.

Remember the faithfulness you've already witnessed.

Because the God who was faithful then will be faithful now.

And if you're in a season of peace, don't allow comfort to steal your wonder.

Keep your eyes on Jesus.

Keep remembering.

Keep believing.

He is still worthy of our awe.

He is still worthy of our faith.

And He is still doing what He has always done—meeting His children right where they are.

What a beautiful Savior we serve.
